Using this site

What is built in

This site is built against WCAG 2.2 AA, which in practice means:

• Every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, with a focus outline you can actually see.
• Text meets contrast requirements against its background. Our yellow is never used as text on a light surface, only as a background with dark ink on it.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Decorative ones are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
• Form fields have real labels, and errors say what to do rather than just that something is wrong.
• Content is not hidden behind hover or motion, and nothing on this site depends on animation to be understood.

Where we are still working

Menu photography is still being added, and until each photo has been given proper alternative text you will hear the item name rather than a description of the picture.

Some content is rendered from data that is still being verified. Where a price or an hour is missing, the page says so plainly rather than leaving a blank.

In the cafe

If you need something to be easier when you visit, ask at the counter. Staff would rather help than have you struggle quietly.
